Norton Studio log-in issues with Microsoft Windows 8 - ThinkCentre, ThinkStation, ThinkPad

The user logs into Norton Studio successfully.  After a few minutes, the user receives a log-in window pop-up message and they are unable to log in again.

Affected configurations

The above symptom is associated to the following systems:

  • All ThinkCentre
  • All ThinkStation
  • All ThinkPad


Operating Systems:

  • Microsoft Windows 8



The user should update to the latest version in the Microsoft Windows 8 App Store as instructed below.

  1. Click “Store” in the Metro start screen.
  2. Click “Update” at the right-upper corner of the Store screen.
  3. Choose “Norton Studio” in the list of updates.  Then, click on “Install” at the bottom of the page.
  4. After a few seconds, the install is completed.
