Systems with Lenovo branded Intel sourced 520 series Solid State Drives (SSD) may experience Bluescreens, system hangs, crashes, or the drive may not be seen at boot.

Update the drive's firmware to resolve these issues. Download the Intel 520 series__irmfuu_lenovo_3.1.0_pc1.exe file below and run it as an Administrator from Windows on a machine with the drive to be updated.
If the drive is not seen in the BIOS or you are not able to boot to the drive, then download the Bootable CD firmware update from the following URL:
To run as an Administrator, either right-click the file and select Run as administrator or run the file from an Administrator command prompt.
The update will take a few seconds. The user should reboot the system when complete. The firmware update file will update both the 180GB and 240GB versions of the drive. The new firmware version is LF1i.
NOTE: When booting back into Windows, the operating system may say that new hardware was detected and a reboot is necessary to complete the installation. This is normal behavior after updating drive firmware.
