STATEMENT DESCRIPTION:

How to turn on telnet in Windows 7

 

AFFECTED CONFIGURATIONS:

The above symptom may occur on the following operating system:

Microsoft Windows 7

 

VALID REGIONS/COUNTRIES:

Worldwide

  

SOLUTION:

  1. Click “Start” --> “Control Panel”. View by Small icons, see Fig.1.

  1. Click “Programs and Features” --> “Turn Windows features on or off” from the left panel.
  2. In the "Windows Features" window (see Fig.2), check the checkboxes before “Telnet Client” and “Telnet Server” and click “OK”.
