Things to check before installing Windows 7 SP1
In most cases, the computers listed above will have no problem with Windows 7 SP1. However, before you start the installation, it is recommended that you install the latest BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) and drivers on the computer. Attention: Before installing any updates, be sure to back up your computer data.
Before updating to Windows 7 SP1, make sure you install the Windows 7 update KB2502285. Otherwise, the "0x0000007F" Stop error might occur after you install Windows 7 SP1. For more information, go to:
For x64-based versions of Windows 7, make sure you install the Windows 7 update KB2487426 before updating to Windows 7 SP1. Otherwise, an error might occur in the x86-based applications or services, which causes the application or service to stop unexpectedly. For more information, go to:
