This fix is to solve the non functioning "/?" key on the keyboard of Thinkpads in Brazil after installing a Non-Preloaded Operating System.

Affected configurations

Any ThinkPad system from the following series running a Non-Preloaded Windows 7, Vista or XP.

  • ThinkPad Edge Series
  • ThinkPad L and SL Series
  • ThinkPad R Series
  • ThinkPad T Series
  • ThinkPad W Series
  • ThinkPad X Series
Solution
  1. Apply any applicable system registry update to your system:
  2. Download and apply the following registry file.
