| Downloading the installation file |

- Click the file links to download the files from the Web page.
- When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded files.

- Double click the downloaded exe file.
- Follow the instruction to complete the installation.
- All files will be installed to the C:\SWTOOLS\ldiag folder.

- Go to the C:\SWTOOLS\ldiag folder.
- Double-click the lsc_lite.exe file.
- Click Yes when User Account Control windows pops up
- Select the device class to be tested.
- Select the devices to be tested.
- Select the tests to be performed.
| Uninstalling the file |

- Delete the C:\SWTOOLS\ldiag folder to remove all related files from the system.
| Limitations |
|---|
- Only SATA hard drives and solid state drives (SSD) are supported.
- Raid drives is not supported.
- SATA Controller Mode needs to be set to AHCI in system BIOS if the system doesn't use UEFI BIOS.
- Drive Self-Test may cause a BSOD on a Crucial SSD
- On Windows XP the following product families are not supported
- Thinkpad Edge 11, Edge 13, Edge 14, Edge 15, X100E, X120e
- ThinkCentre A63
