IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore - Access IBM PreDesktop environment is displayed instead of the IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore environment

Symptom
IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore environment will install, however when a user presses Access IBM , F11 and/or the Enter key, the Access IBM PreDesktop environment will load instead of IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore environment.

Affected configuration
IBM systems supported by IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore, running Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP, configured with IBM Rapid Restore Ultra

Solution
The User must change the Predesktop security setting in BIOS back to Normal before installing the IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore. If the IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore is already installed, the BIOS setting will need to be changed then reinstall IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore.

Check in the IBMTOOLS\ directory for a log file that shows the error. On the install, the log file is BMGRINST.LOG and on the uninstalled, it is BMGRUNST.LOG.
