WinDVD display window is black when playing a DVD movie with InterVideo WinDVD - 3000 / ThinkCentre
Symptom

After an upgrade from Microsoft Windows XP, the preloaded InterVideo WinDVD program displays a black window while a DVD movie is playing, even though you can hear the sound from the movie.

Affected configurations

Any of the following systems running Microsoft Windows Vista configured with InterVideo WinDVD:

  • ThinkCentre (type All)
  • Lenovo 3000 (type All)
Solution

The current preloaded version of InterVideo WinDVD is not compatible with Microsoft Windows Vista. InterVideo WinDVD 8 is Microsoft Windows Vista ready. No hardware should be replaced for this issue.
