Cleaning old fingerprint data before proceeding with data import
Symptom
Before users import fingerprint data using the Lenovo(R) Fingerprint Software 3.3 program, users should clean the existing fingerprint data first. Otherwise the Lenovo Fingerprint Software 3.3 program might prompt an error message: "Failed to import fingerprint templates!" Then, the data import operation might not be completed.
Affected configurations
ThinkPad(R) computers T400, T500, R500, X200, X200s, X200t, and X301 with the Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 7 operating system and the Lenovo(R) Fingerprint Software 3.3.0.50 or earlier installed.
Solution
Users can click the Delete all fingerprints button in the main window of the Lenovo Fingerprint Software program or select Clear Fingerprint Data in the BIOS to clear all the existing fingerprint data.
