The computer reboots when entering suspend mode when Intel AMT (Active Management Technology) is installed and ready - ThinkPad R61, R61i, T61, T61p
Symptom

Intel AMT causes the computer to reboot instead of suspending because of a video driver conflict.

Affected configurations

Any of the following systems configured with NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M / Quadro FX 570M running Microsoft Windows XP or Microsoft Windows 2000:

  • ThinkPad R61 (Type: 7742, 7743, 7744, 7751, 7753, 7754, 7755, 8914, 8918, 8919, 8920, 8927, 8928, 8929)
  • ThinkPad R61i (Type: 7742, 8918)
  • ThinkPad T61
  • ThinkPad T61p
Solution

Update nVidia video driver to Version: 6.14.11.5685 released 2008/01/11 or later.
