The user may experience a display delay when inputting characters in Microsoft Simplified-Chinese PowerPoint 2010.

The above symptom is associated with, but not limited to, the following systems:

• All ThinkCentre systems
• All ThinkStation systems
• All ThinkPad systems
• All Value Line desktops (Lenovo 3000)

This phenomenon is caused by the option of (Spelling and grammar inspection tool ) which is enabled by default in Microsoft Simplified-Chinese PowerPoint 2010.

This is a Microsoft known issue. Click here to install hotfix package(oart.msp) from KB2405845.

This issue may also be corrected by disabling the following option:

"Control panel" > "Programs" > "Programs and Features" > Selects (e.g.) "Microsoft Office Professional 2010" > "Changes" > "Increase or deletion function" > "Office sharing function" > "Proofreading tool" > "Simplified Chinese proofreading tool" > "Spelling and grammar inspection tool" > Does not install.
