The following is a list of tips associated with ThinkServer EasyStartup v1.2.1 (TS200v).

1. The response file for unattended installation of the operating system cannot be stored on USB flash drive with NTFS file system. The user must create a FAT32 file system partition on the USB Flash drive.

2. To use a preexisting response file to install the operating system, all partitions and data on the hard disk drive will be deleted.

Cause
EasyStartup is designed to delete all partitions and data on hard disk drive by using preexisting response file to install the operating system.

Symptoms
To use a preexisting response file to install the operating system, there is one warning message at the beginning to let the user verify and make sure whether to continue installation. If yes, all partitions and data on your hard disk drive will be deleted during the later installation process.

Workaround

• Make sure you have backed up the data on your hard disk drive.
• If you want to install the operating system on the existing system partition and keep all data on other partitions as well, you can access the main interface and go through the manual installation configuration steps.

3. When inputting IP address, can not automatically move focus to the next space by using digital keystrokes on the right of keyboard.

Cause
Only keystrokes on the right of keyboard have this limitations.

Workaround
You can use digital keystrokes on the top of letters, or by using mouse.

4. If the P/N of your current DVD is 90Y1246 and your server only has 1GB memory, you should get the updated ISO (P/N:91Y1708) from the web.
