What are the LED status inidcators (lights) on the LCD? - ThinkPad X20, X21, X22, X23, X24

The following table shows what the LED status indicators are for and what the different colors or blinking of the lights mean.

ThinkPad X20 Series Status indicators

Index numberLED indicatorLED indicator colorLED indicator meaning
1BatteryGreenThe battery is fully charged.
Blinking greenThe battery has enough power to operate, but is charging.
OrangeThe battery power is low. The battery is charging.
Blinking orangeThe battery needs charging.
2Standby statusGreen

The computer is in standby mode.

Blinking greenThe computer is entering standby mode or hibernation mode, or is resuming normal operation.
3Bluetooth
(X23, X24 Bluetooth Model Only)
GreenGreen:The Integrated Bluetooth features are on.
Blinking greenThe Integrated Bluetooth features are functioning.
4Bluetooth power button
(X23, X24 Bluetooth Model Only)
 Press this button to turn the Integrated Bluetooth on and off.
5Drive in useGreenData is being read from or written to the hard disk drive, diskette drive, or drive in the Ultrabay 2000.
6Num lockGreenThe numeric keypad on the keyboard is enabled.
7Caps lockGreenCaps lock mode is enabled.
8Scroll lockGreenThe arrow keys can be used as screen scroll function keys.
9Power onGreenThe power is on.
