This document contains other considerations when using your ThinkPad computer.
At initial installation or after complete power removal (both AC and battery), the computer must be powered on once so the Wake on LAN set enabled can be functional.
RediSafe is not supported under any operating system.
RPL from network PC Card is not supported.
A graphical interface to the ThinkPad utilities is limited:
Microsoft Windows NT: native control panel and the BIOS Setup Utility
OS/2: text based utility in DOS window and the BIOS Setup Utility
Microsoft Windows 3.1: native control panel and the BIOS Setup Utility
Booting from a PCMCIA ATA card is not supported.
FOL (Flash Over LAN) is not supported with LCCM.
When the Power-on password is set and the computer is resuming from suspend mode or hibernation mode, you need to enter the Power-on password. If you leave the system without entering the password, Windows 98 desktop screen automatically appears. The computer is locked unless you enter the correct password.
