NVidia Quadro 600 (0A36183), NVidia Quadro 2000 (57Y4479) and NVidia NVS 300 (0A36528) - Clone mode exchange menu does not work correctly in NVidia driver v267.45
Symptom

Duplicate steps:

  1. Install graphic Nvidia v267.45 driver and restart the system.
  2. Insert two monitors for multiple displays.
  3. Right click cursor and open Nvidia control panel from pull down menu.
  4. Choose set up multiple displays in the menu bar.
  5. Move the cursor to the two monitor icon area, right click cursor and choose clone display (set 1st monitor as primary display) and apply.
  6. Move the cursor to the two monitor icon area and right click cursor again, choose clone display (set 2nd monitor as primary display) for exchange the primary display, the system has no response for this apply -- Issue point 1
  7. At this time, right click cursor and choose clone display (set 1st monitor as primary display) again, the system will exchange the primary display (set the 2nd monitor as primary display). -- Issue point 2
Affected configurations

Nvidia graphic card driver v267.45 installed on following graphic card:

  1. NVIDIA Quadro 600 96-core CUDA 1GB Dual-Link DVI-I, DisplayPort Graphics Card (Marketing part number: 0A36183)
  2. NVIDIA Quadro 2000 192-core CUDA 1GB Dual-Link DVI-I, Dual DisplayPort Graphics Card (Marketing part number: 57Y4479)
  3. NVIDIA NVS 300 DMS59 Dual-VGA, Dual-DVI Graphics Card (Marketing part number: 0A36528)

Impacted Operating System: Windows Vista (32-bit, 64-bit)

Solution
  • Click the first primary button once more when user needs to change the primary clone from first to second monitor.
  • Click the second primary button once more when user needs to change the primary clone from second to first monitor.
