V.90 PCI Data/Fax Modem - Overview
General information
The V.90 PCI Data/Fax Modem is a full-function, PCI-based, ITU Standard V.90 56K data/fax modem. The PCI controller-based modem chip set design provides all the advantages of controller-based modems, such as:
  • Operating system independent operation
  • Minimum CPU loading
This modem also features ITU standard data/fax capability. The V.90 PCI Data/Fax Modem is compatible with most popular data and fax communication software applications.

The V.90 PCI Data/Fax Modem provides all the advantages of controller-based modems. Features include:
  • V.90 and K56flex download speed (up to 56 Kbps)
  • Hayes AT-compatible command set
  • V.54 diagnostics
  • Half- and full-duplex modes
  • Auto dial/auto answer
  • Pulse and tone dialing
  • Auto call detection
  • Plug and Play-compatible
NOTE: This product is designed to be capable of receiving at up to 56 Kbps with K56flex or V.90-compatible phone line and server equipment, and transmitting at up to 31.2 Kbps. Public networks currently limit download speeds to about 53 Kbps. Actual speeds vary and are often less than the maximum.
