The ThinkPad 160GB 2.5" Intel Solid State Drive II (0A33983) is an ideal data storage solution that offers improved performance and reliability. It uses speedy non-volatile memory and no moving parts, instead of the standard hard drive's spinning platters and moving heads. This drive is supported on selected ThinkPad systems as the primary drive, also when used with the ThinkPad Serial Hard Drive Bay Adapter III (43N3412) is supported for usage of this drive as a second hard drive.

  • Improved read/write performance compared to standard 5400 rpm and 7200 rpm mobile standard hard drive 160 GB storage capacity

  • Improved reliability compared to standard mobile hard drives there are no moving parts
  • Lower power consumption than standard mobile hard drive increasing system battery life
  • Lighter weight than standard notebook hard disk drives
  • 3.0 GB/sec interface transfer rate
  • Operating and Non-operating shock at 1500 G
