LCD panel, hinges, and LCD cable removal and installation - ThinkPad Edge Edge E10, Edge 11
For access, remove these FRUs in order:
- Battery pack
- Bottom door
- Hard disk drive (HDD)
- Keyboard
- Palm rest assembly, power-on board assembly (with cable), and microphone
- System board, fan assembly, and backup battery
In step [1], release the cables from the cable guide of the left and right hinges.

When installing: When attaching the LCD panel to the cover, press the left and right edges covered with metal gently with your fingers. DO NOT press the surface of the panel or apply any excessive force to the panel.
