The ThinkPad USB Port Replicator with Digital Video (45K1610* - United States) provides a quick and easy connection to the workspace peripherals you use every day. Simply plug in the USB cable for access to your monitor, Internet connection/LAN, headphones/speakers, USB printer, keyboard, mouse, and other USB devices.

DVI-I monitor output - Supports the following DVI digital or VGA analog resolutions:
16:10 wide - 1920 x 1200
16:9 wide - 1920 x 1080 (native 1080p HD support)
Supports lower resolutions at higher refresh rates.
Includes a DVI-to-VGA monitor adapter for connecting VGA analog monitors.
Independent monitor operation between USB Port Replicator and the ThinkPad system display and ThinkPad monitor ports.
USB Port Replicator does not disable the ThinkPad system display or the ThinkPad monitor ports, thereby allowing for multiple monitors.
Three Multiple Monitor Configuration Example:
ThinkPad display is active (1st monitor)
Monitor attached to the ThinkPad monitor port (2nd monitor)
Monitor attached to the USB Port Replicator (3rd monitor)
Two display mode settings, allowing users to switch with the push of a button, supporting: mirror "clone" display mode and extended "strech" display mode
When in extended display mode; users may may choose the ThinkPad system display or the USB Port Replicator external monitor to function as the primary monitor.
One forward-facing USB 2.0 port - Ideal for use with memory keys and other quick access devices. This USB 2.0 port is backward-compatible with USB 1.1 devices.
Four rear-facing USB 2.0 ports - Ideal for most USB devices, including printers, keyboards, and mice. These USB 2.0 ports are backward-compatible with USB 1.1 devices.
Integrated 10/100M Ethernet - For Internet/LAN connectivity. No external adapter required.
Stereo headphone-out jack for speakers and headphones.
Supports Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows Vista 32 / Vista 64 (in normal and Aero modes) and Windows 7
Includes an AC power adapter.

Note:
For 1280 x 1024 resolution, the USB Port Replicator operates at the highest supported refresh rate of the attached monitor. For example, a 60Hz-only monitor operates at 60Hz.
The following resolutions are not supported. If the monitor operates at one of the following native resolutions, adjust display settings to a supported resolution. Unsupported resolutions include: 1600 x 900, 1360 x 768 and 1366 x 768
Dock should be installed under XP SP3 and VISTA. For XP SP2, two patches should be installed first due to Microsoft limitation. To download these patches, link to:
When dock is 'Extend Only' or 'Extend Primary' display mode cannot exchange integrated graphic and external graphic on hybrid graphic system, such as, some types of R400, R500, T400, and T500.
Cannot set dock monitor to 'Extend Primary' mode via Presentation Director (Fn+F7 hot key).
When you play back DVD, some system may pop-up message 'Copy Protection' appears on external monitor.
Does not support external screen rotation.
Do not recommend changing display mode when video is running.
DVD cannot play back on external monitor under XP with extend mode.
External primary mode cannot be applied with INTEL graphics under XP due to INTEL limitation.
When you play back DVD and unplug dock, sound turns to PC speaker, re-insert the dock, sound will not return back to replicator automatically. To change to dock output, manually configurate by dock GUI.
Does not support HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection).
