For access, remove these FRUs, in order:

• Battery pack FRU.
• Hard disk drive (HDD) cover, HDD and HDD rubber rails or solid state drive (SSD) and storage converter FRU.
• Palm rest or palm rest with fingerprint reader FRU.
• Bluetooth daughter card (BDC-2.1) for Thinkpad W701, W701ds FRU.
• Keyboard FRU.
• DIMM slot cover and DIMM under keyboard for Thinkpad W701, W701ds FRU.
• Keyboard bezel and speaker assembly FRU.
• Wireless USB adapter or Intel Turbo Memory Minicard FRU.
• PCI Express Mini Card for wireless LAN/WiMAX FRU.
• LCD unit FRU.

Please perform the following steps as shown in the pictures below.

When installing: Make sure the connector is attached firmly, and that the cable is routed as in the figure above.

Note: Step [4a] is only for ThinkPadW700 and W700ds.
