Remove the screws that secure the system board to the cover.
Lift the system board off of the cover.
Remove the memory modules from the failing system board and install them in the same location on the new system board. See "Memory removal and installation".
Remove the heat sink and microprocessor from the failing system board and install them on the new system board. See "Microprocessor removal and installation". Note: You might have to install a new retention module on the new system board.
Position the new system board in the chassis so that the screw holes are aligned with the mounting studs.
Install and tighten the screws that secure the system board to the chassis.
