With the cover open, you can see:

• The display
• These control button across the top of the keyboard bezel:
  • Power on
  • Lenovo care
  • Mute
  • Note: the volume controls are accessed by keyboard function keys F1 and F2 .
  • These status indicators
    • Drive activity
    • 3-in-1 digital media reader
    • Caps lock
    • Num lock
    • Bluetooth

On the lower portion of the keyboard you can see the TouchPad with associated buttons

Located on the front of the top cover is the single cover latch.

On the front of the front we have the:

• Optical drive
• These indicators:
  • Power
  • Standby
  • Battery
  • Wireless

Located on the right side are:

• The right speaker
• Hard disk drive
• PC Card slot
• 3-in-1 digital media reader

Located on the rear are these connectors:

• IEEE1394
• Ethernet

• Video out
• External monitor

• Security keyhole

Located on the left side:

• Modem connector
• AC power
• USB
• Stereo headphone
• Microphone
• Wireless radio switch
• Left speaker

Located on the bottom are:

• Hard disk drive locking screw
• Memory
• Battery with associated latch
