Hard drive installation movie

To remove the hard disk drive:

1. First, remove the battery pack as follows:
   1. Turn the computer off.
   2. Disconnect the AC adapter and all cables from the computer.
   3. Close the computer display and turn the computer over.
   4. Hold the latch in the unlocked position.
   5. Grasp the battery pack and pull it from the rear of the machine.
2. Next, remove the hard disk drive as follows:
   Note: The 15-inch model hard disk drive cover is on the bottom of the system. The 14-inch model uses a cover on the end of the system. This video shows a 15-inch model.
   1. Remove the screw securing the cover.
   2. Lift the cover out of its channel and out of the machine.
   3. Using the drive removal strap, slide the drive slightly toward the outside of the system to clear the connector, then lift the drive up and out of the system.
   4. Remove the drive bumpers as required.
