Notes:

• Do not drop the drive or subject it to physical shocks. Put the drive on a material, such as soft cloth, that absorbs any physical shocks.
• Do not apply pressure to the cover of the drive.
• Do not touch the connector.
• The drive is very sensitive. Incorrect handling can cause damage and permanent loss of data on the hard drive.
• Before removing the hard drive, make a backup copy of all the information on the hard drive, and then turn the computer off.
• Never remove the drive while the system is operating, in standby mode, or in hibernation mode.

To replace the hard drive, do the following:

1. Turn off the computer; then disconnect the AC adapter and all cables from the computer.
2. Close the computer display, and turn the computer over.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Remove the screws [1], and remove the cover [2] that secures the hard drive.
   
   
5. Remove the hard drive by pulling out the tab [3].
   
   
6. Insert the hard drive into the hard drive bay [3]; then install it firmly into the place.
   
   
7. Reinstall the cover [4], and tighten the screws [5].
   
   
8. Reinstall the battery.
9. Turn the computer over again. Connect the AC adapter and cables to the computer.
