Keyboard installation movie

To remove the keyboard:

1. Remove the battery pack:
   1. Turn the system off.
   2. Disconnect the AC adapter and all cables.
   3. Close the system display and turn it over.
   4. Slide and hold the battery latch in the unlock position.
   5. Grasp the battery pack and pull it out of the system.
   6. Here is a closer look at a battery pack latch.
2. Remove the palm rest:
   1. Remove the four screws from the bottom of the ThinkPad.
   2. Turn the system over and open the display.
   3. Release the outer latches of the palm rest first, then pull up on the center to release the remaining latches.
   4. Disconnect the finger print reader UltraNav pad cable.
   5. Place the palm rest aside.
3. Remove the keyboard:
   1. Turn the system over.
   2. Remove the single screw from the bottom of the system.
   3. Turn the system over and open the cover.
   4. Lift the keyboard off the system and disconnect the keyboard cable.
   5. Place the keyboard aside.
