Mini PCI Express installation movie

To remove the PCI Express card:

1. Remove the battery pack:
   1. Turn the computer off.
   2. Disconnect the AC adapter and all cables from the computer.
   3. Close the computer display and turn the computer over.
   4. Slide and hold the battery latch in the unlock position.
   5. Grasp the battery pack and pull it out of the system.
      Here is a closer look at a battery pack latch.
2. Remove the palm rest:
   1. Remove the four screws from the bottom of the ThinkPad.
   2. Turn the system over.
   3. Open the display cover.
   4. Release the two latches on the outer edges of the palm rest first, then pull up on the center to release the remaining two latches.
   5. Disconnect the finger print reader and UltraNav pad cable.
   6. Place the palm rest aside.
3. Remove the keyboard:
   1. Turn the system over.
   2. Remove the single screw from the rear.
   3. Turn the system over.
   4. Open the cover.
   5. Disconnect the keyboard cable.
   6. Lift the keyboard off the system and place it aside.
4. Remove the PCI Express card:
   1. Disconnect the auxiliary and main antenna cables.
   2. Remove the two screws
   3. Rotate the card up and lift it out.
   4. Place the card on an ESD protected surface.
