Text of the audio portion of this movie

To remove a hard disk drive from bay 4:

  1. Place the system in the service position.
  2. Turn off the system and all attached peripheral devices.
  3. Disconnect all power cords and all external signal cables. For easier access to components, place the system on its side. This is the recommended service position.
  4. Remove the side cover. Press the cover-release button on the right side cover, slide the cover to the rear and lift it off.
  5. Remove the bezel. Release the two latching tabs on the bottom of the bezel.
  6. Pull the bottom of the bezel away from the system, pull down slightly and then away from the system to remove it. Here is a closer look at a bezel release latches.
  7. Remove the hard disk drive. Disconnect the power cable and the SATA signal cable from the drive.
  8. Grasp the drive tray handle and pull the drive out of the cage and place it on an ESD protected surface.
  9. To remove the drive tray from the hard drive. Flex the tray to release the locking pins on the tray from the holes in the drive. Lift the tray off the drive and place it aside.
