Memory removal and installation - ThinkCentre A50 (type 8089, 8090) / S50 (type 8086, 8087, 8088, 8094)

Memory removal
  1. Open the cover. See "Opening the cover".
  2. Locate the memory connectors. See "System board diagram"
  3. Open the retaining clips and remove the failing memory module.

  1. Go to "Completing the removal or installation".
Memory installation
  1. Make sure the notch 1 on the new memory module is aligned correctly with the connector key 2 on the socket. Insert the memory module straight down into the connector until it snaps into position and the retaining clips are closed.

  1. Go to "Completing the removal or installation".
