The V.90 Data/Fax Soft Modem provides up to 56 Kbps data connections for standard height and small form factor ThinkCentre desktop PCs. The modem's V.90/56K(1) speed can connect and send data and faxes over a standard phone line. This modem is Plug and Play compatible. It fits into a standard PCI slot, and can easily be configured for fast and reliable modem connectivity. In addition, the modem can be upgraded to the V.92(2) specification.

NOTE(S):

1. (1) The V.90 modem can receive data at up to 56 Kbps from a compatible service provider and transmit data at up to 31.2 Kbps. Public works currently limit maximum download speeds to about 53 Kbps. Actual speeds depend on many factors and are often less than the maximum possible.
2. (2) Public network download speeds are limited to 53 Kbps. Upload speeds are limited to 48 Kbps for V.92 modems. Actual speeds depend on many factors and are often less than the maximum possible. V.92 functions and speeds require compatible phone line and server equipment, and download of V.92 support device
   driver when available. Check with your telephone and Internet service providers for availability.
