Before you begin

1. Turn the machine off.
2. Disconnect the AC adapter.
3. Remove the main battery.

4. Remove the keyboard.

CD-ROM/DVD installation movie

To remove the CD-ROM drive:

1. Remove the single screw.
2. Slide the CD-ROM out of the drive bay by first pushing the L-shaped bracket near the screw location.
   

   DANGER
   There may be sharp objects next to the bracket inside the square opening, or under the metal cover.

3. Complete removal of the drive from outside the system.
