Keyboard removal and installation - TransNote

To remove the keyboard from the TransNote system:

  1. Remove the battery pack.
  2. Remove the DIMM.
  3. Remove the hard-disk drive and hard-disk drive cover.
  4. Remove the screw cap indicated by 1.

  5. Loosen the screw 2 , but do not remove it.

  6. Lift the keyboard connector cover in the direction indicated by 3.

  7. Gently lift the keyboard connector as indicated by 4.

  8. Lift connector as indicated by 5.
    pull straight up on connector
  9. Lift keyboard to free tabs 6 by lifting in the direction of arrow 7.

Installing the keyboard in the TransNote system:

  1. Make sure that the front edges of the keyboard are under the frame as shown in the following figure.
    slide keyboard in so tabs insert
  2. Push the E key and D keys and O key and L keys 1 to latch the keyboard to the frame; then connect the keyboard connector 2.
    Press down to seat keyboard
  3. Install keyboard connector cover.
  4. Install the screw cap on the connector cover.
  5. Install the hard disk drive and hard-disk drive cover.
  6. Install the DIMM.
  7. Install the battery pack.
