The new 8X Max(1) Slimline DVD-ROM Drive delivers DVD functionality to your small form factor desktop environment. This drive reads DVD media with capacities up to 17 GB, at a maximum 8X CAV(1) read speed. This provides fast data loading and video playback. It can also read all popular CD media formats at speeds up to 24X CAV.

This DVD-ROM drive is ideal for education and database applications and well-suited for the large data requirements of graphics, imaging, and multiple CD consolidation. Decoding software(2) for MPEG2 playback is also included.

This new offering benefits from quality, reliability, compatibility, and testing programs. As one of the premier. This option takes on the warranty of the PC system in which it is installed. For many PCs this can entitle this product to on-site service for up to three years.
