Notes:

The UltraBase X2, UltraBase X3 or Portable drive bay 2000 are required in order to use Ultrabay 2000 devices with the ThinkPad X2* and X3* systems.
Not all options are supported on Linux models.
CRU means the part is a Customer Replaceable Unit.
hard drive means Hard Disk Drive.
Where the hard drive is not supported as an upgrade to the primary system hard drive, the option hard drive is supported as a secondary hard drive in the following:
- The UltraBase X2, and UltraBase X3 for ThinkPad X2* and X3* systems, using the ThinkPad Second Hard Drive Adapter for Ultrabay 2000.
- The Portable drive bay 2000 using the ThinkPad Second Hard Drive Adapter for Ultrabay 2000.
- The Ultrabay of the system, for ThinkPad A, R, and T series systems, using the ThinkPad Second Hard Drive Adapter for Ultrabay 2000.
- The ThinkPad Dock (machine type 2631) using the ThinkPad Second Hard Drive Adapter for Ultrabay 2000.
