This document contains instructions for removing and installing the hard drive in your ThinkPad T20, T21, T22, T23 computer.

Removing the hard drive

1. Turn off the computer; then disconnect the ac adapter and all cables from the computer.
2. Close the computer display, and turn the computer over.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Remove the coin screw that secures the hard drive. You can use a coin in the slot of the screw. 1.
   
5. Open the computer display; then stand the computer on its side and remove the hard drive by pulling the cover away from the computer.
   
6. Remove the hard drive cover by gently pulling tabs 3 away from drive. Then pull cover away as indicated by 4.
   

Installing the hard drive

1. Attach hard drive cover by reversing step 6 above.
2. Insert drive by reversing steps 4 through 5 above.
   NOTE: Make sure that the hard drive is fully seated.
3. Insert battery pack and connect AC adapter.

NOTE: If you installing a blank hard drive, you will have to boot from another device and install the operating system.
