This document contains instructions for removing and installing the keyboard on your ThinkPad T20, T21, T22 computer.

1. Remove the battery pack.
2. Remove the backup battery.
3. Remove the hard-disk drive.
4. Remove the Ultrabay 2000 device
5. Remove the two screws indicated by 1 from the bottom of the system.
   
6. Turn unit over and open LCD panel as indicated.
   
7. Press latch indicated by 4 with your hand holding keyboard.
8. Pull keyboard away from base as indicated by 5, and the lift out as indicated by 6.
   

1. Install the new keyboard, following the directions in the figure. Make sure that the keyboard edges, shown in the figure as (A), (B), and (C), are under the frame.
   
2. Push the Y key 1 to connect the keyboard to the connector on the underside of the key; then push the frame of the keyboard 2 to latch the latches.
   
3. After the fastening of two screws of bottom side, push the Y key again to connect the keyboard firmly to the connector on the underside of the key.
4. Insert the Ultrabay 2000 device.
5. Insert the hard disk drive.
6. Insert the backup battery.
7. Insert the battery pack.
