General information
The 10/100 EtherJet Secure Management Adapter and the Netfinity 10/100 Ethernet Security Adapter offer new features that boost the security of your LAN traffic. These Ethernet adapters offer network security features along with a rich combination of performance and industry-leading functions for desktop and server PCs.

The 10/100 EtherJet Secure Management Adapter provides secure attachment to a 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX Ethernet LAN for desktop PCs with a PCI bus interface.

Hardware requirements
The 10/100 EtherJet Secure Management Adapter can be installed in any PCI 2.1 or 2.2-slot equipped, Intel Pentium-architecture processor.

The Netfinity 10/100 Ethernet Security Adapter can be installed in any PCI 2.1 or 2.2-slot equipped, Intel Pentium-architecture processor server.

Software requirements
The EtherJet adapter is shipped with drivers for all leading operating systems. The Netfinity adapter is shipped with device drivers for all leading server operating systems.

Compatibility
Some configurations may not be compatible. On some systems the default resource values may result in conflicts, requiring a change in these values.

Limitations
For use of the Alert on LAN 2 features in the EtherJet adapter, the PC system must be enabled with compatible Alert on LAN 2 hardware and software components. Use of the Wake on LAN function in either the EtherJet or the Netfinity adapter requires a PCI 2.2-compatible PC that supports Wake on LAN and provides auxiliary 3.3V power through the PCI bus. A Wake on LAN cable is not included. Use of the IPSec function for either adapter requires the PC or server system to be running Windows 2000, or another operating system that supports IPSec security. It is unlawful to export these products outside the U.S. or Canada except under an approved Department of Commerce export license or applicable license exception.
