Some configurations may not be compatible.

Limitations
For satisfactory DVD movie playback performance on ThinkPad 600 models only (not 600E or 600X), it is strongly recommended to use an MPEG-2 PCMCIA DVD adapter. The ThinkPad-proven program has selected MARGI systems DVD-To-Go as the recommended MPEG-2 DVD PCMCIA adapter for improved movie viewing and for playback of most multimedia full-motion DVD applications.
