The Portable Drive Bay is designed for maximum flexibility and usability. It offers an UltraslimBay enclosure in an attractive portable package that can be attached to the ThinkPad PCMCIA slot via the included PC card. The UltraslimBay CD-ROM, DVD, Zip, SuperDisk (LS-120), and second hard disk drives (HDDs) can be easily inserted into the Portable Drive Bay for use with most ThinkPads including the popular ThinkPad i series, 240, 390, 560, 570, 600, and 770 models.
The Portable Drive Bay, with the appropriate IDE device, provides portable and convenient:

Access to CD-ROM and DVD based applications and databases
Large file storage
HDD backup
The Portable Drive Bay includes a stand for space-saving vertical mounting of an UltraslimBay CD-ROM, DVD, Zip, and second HDD (vertical mounting of the LS-120 drive is not supported).
Power for the Portable Drive Bay is obtained via the PC card port. No power adapter is required. The three AA batteries included with the drive bay supply supplemental power when needed.
