6X MAX Black Internal IDE DVD-ROM Drive - Overview
General information The 6X MAX (1) Black (2) Internal IDE DVD-ROM Drive is a stand-alone drive that provides read-only function for data on DVD media (3) with capacities from 4.7 GB up to 17 GB. The 32X-14X CD-ROM function, also part of the capability of the 6X MAX DVD-ROM Drive, provides an optical solution that can handle today's mainstream CD-ROM applications. This drive is equipped to advance to the new applications of DVD-ROM technology of today and the future. To enable MPEG2 video playback, you must install the PCI MPEG2 Video Decoder Card (33L5009).
(1) 6X-2X variable read rate. Actual playback speed will vary and is often less than the maximum possible. (2) The black color of the drive matches the IntelliStation and Netfinity systems. (3) Media with approximately 9 GB to 17 GB capacity requires physically removing, turning over, and reinserting the media disc.
