The Black 2X/4X/24X CD-Rewritable (CD-RW) Internal IDE Option Kit is a triple-function drive that provides the latest CD rewriting capability, CD recording capability, and the function of a 24X-10X CD-ROM drive. Up to 650 MB of unformatted CD-R media can be recorded once, at 4X speed. CD-RW media can be rewritten up to 1,000 times, at 2X speed. This 5-1/4-inch, half-high internal drive functions as a high-capacity, removable media "floppy replacement" drive, compatible in CD-R format with most currently installed CD-ROM drives. It is also compatible in CD-RW format with today's 24X, and higher, CD-ROM drives. The CD-RW Option Kit includes Adaptec's Easy Creator and DirectCD CD mastering and writing software for a complete, compatibility tested PC CD-writing solution. One blank CD-R media and one blank CD-RW media are also included for:

• Recording large data files, graphics, Internet data
• Compiling personalized audio CDs and other creative uses
• Desktop-level backup
• Other storage-consuming applications
