Before you begin

1. Turn the machine off.
2. Disconnect the AC adapter.
3. Remove the main battery.

To remove the hard disk drive:

1. Remove the single screw.
2. Slide the drive out.
3. To remove the cover, slide the tabs off the retention posts and lift it off.
