Located on the right side of the touch screen display bezel are the:

• ThinkPad
• FlipTouch
• Mute buttons

The ThinkPad button brings up the Access ThinkPad interface. This button can be reprogrammed to launch the Internet or an application.

With the TransNote open, you can see the cover sensor, the digital ThinkScribe sensor, and the power switch.

Located on the bottom of the bezel are the status indicators

• Battery
• Suspend
• Hard disk drive activity
• Num lock
• Caps lock
• Scroll lock
• Power-on

The battery and suspend LEDs are also visible from the side.

Located on the front edge of the TransNote are the speaker and the ports, including the:

• IR
• Microphone
• Headphone, and
• Line in

The microphone is located on the bottom edge of the TransNote.

Located on the right edge of the TransNote are the battery lock and the battery.

Located on the top edge of the TransNote are these ports.

• Telephone
• Ethernet
• Dual USB
• Video
• Power

Also located on the top edge of the TransNote are the:

• Security keyhole
• Fan vent
• Port replicator
• A single Type II PC Card slot

Located on the left edge of the TransNote are the:

• Pen trough
• Compact Flash card slot
• FlexFold hinge latch

With the touch screen display in the open position, you can see the keyboard with TrackPoint.

On this TransNote the ThinkScribe Digital Notepad is located to the right. When you remove the writing pad, you can see information for using the Notepad.

Located on the upper left are the:

• Power switch
• Activity indicator
• OK
• Cancel
• Action Selector/Keywords
• To Do
• Messages
• Copy
• The Ink File Selector that is used to select a separate file folder
• Page Backward
• Page Selector
• Page Forward
• Generic information on Ink Manager Pro
• Error indicator
• Status display

The status display symbols are identified on the information sheet.

Located on the right side of the ThinkScribe are the penholder and pen refills. Note: Left-hand models will have the penholder on the left side of the ThinkScribe.
