The ThinkPad CD-RW/DVD Combo IV Ultrabay 2000 Drive delivers added functionality to your ThinkPad notebook. It slides easily in and out of the Ultrabay 2000 bay found in the ThinkPad T, R, and A Series notebooks, the ThinkPad Dock, and the UltraBase X2/X3 media slice (X Series only).

This new ThinkPad drive lets you play and record CD music and data, install software, and read optical-based information. Easy-to-use RecordNow and DLA CD recording software and WinDVD movie navigator software are included.

Multiple media options are now available in one slim drive. You can store substantial amounts of data on a single standard CD-R or CD-RW with the drive's 700 MB capacity. This innovative drive also enables you to:

• Read or write data with its speedy maximum data transfer rates of:
  • 24x Max (writing to CD-R media)
  • 10x Max (writing to CD-RW media)
  • 24x Max (reading CD-ROM, CD-R, and CD-RW media)
  • 8x Max (reading DVD media)
• View DVD movies and read DVD data
• Burn, install, and play CDs
