The new 32X/10X/40X/16X Max (1) CD-RW/DVD-ROM Combination Drive combines the best technology and functionality from CD-RW and DVD-ROM drives into one drive.
RecordNow CD mastering and writing software and DVD decoding software from Intervideo is included with the drive. You can create data and audio CDs, back up files, and play popular DVD movies -- all with this new combination drive. This drive conforms to the DVD Forum DVD-Multi Player specification, which ensures read compatibility across all DVD forum endorsed formats (DVD-R, DVD-RW, and DVD-RAM). The drive also supports EasyWrite Technology (formerly Mt.Rainier), which provides a way to store, move, and share large amounts of data with the same ease and convenience of a diskette.

Features:

(1) Actual speeds will vary and are often less than the maximum possible. The read and write results of this drive depend on the quality and characteristics of the CD-R and CD-RW media used. Poor results may be obtained with some media suppliers.

(2) Some software may differ from its retail version (if available), and may not include user manuals or all program functionality. Applicable third-party software licenses may apply.

Hardware compatibility

The 32X/10X/40X/16X Max CD-RW/DVD-ROM Combination Drive is supported on the following Systems:

* Systems with I3D and FireGL1 graphic chipsets do not support MPEG-2 playback.

** Standard Y-audio connector cannot be attached to this system.

Some computers have a smaller connector that is incompatible with the included internal audio cable. If your computer has this type of connector, you must purchase a new audio cable.
