Processor removal - NetVista 2283, 6274, 6596

Note: Determine the type of processor you are installing and make sure the jumpers are set correctly. Run the Configuration/Setup Utility after correctly installing a processor.

Attention: Processors are sensitive to static discharge.

  1. Detach the fan cable from the fan connector.
  2. Remove the CPU fan.
  3. Remove the two screws.
  4. Remove the CPU heat sink.
  5. Lift up the bar securing the CPU.
  6. Remove the CPU from the system.
