The new DVD-RAM/DVD-R Drive provides rewritable DVD technology suitable for archiving data or authoring DVD video content. Other features
include:

• Complies with industry standard specifications defined by the DVD
• Forum for the 9.4/4.7GB DVD-RAM standard (version 2.1) and DVD-R for general usage standard (version 2.0)
• Reads and writes single-sided 4.7GB DVD-RAM discs or double-sided
• 9.4GB DVD-RAM discs at 2.77MB/sec
• Reads and writes single-sided 2.6GB DVD-RAM discs or double-sided
• 5.2GB DVD-RAM discs at 1.38MB/sec
• Reads DVD-ROM and DVD-R media at up to 8.3MB/sec
• Writes single-sided 4.7GB 650 nm DVD-R discs at 1.38MB/sec
• Reads CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, and CD-Audio discs
• 1MB Memory Buffer
• Enhanced IDE (ATAPI) Interface
• Write directly to DVD-RAM discs as a drive letter
• Record DVD video to DVD-R for playback in most consumer DVD players
