1. Turn on the computer.
2. Press Fn-F1 to access BIOS
3. Select Config from the Main Menu
4. Press the down arrow until you get to the power item and hit enter
5. Press the down arrow to the Disable Built-in Battery item
6. Read the item specific help
7. Hit enter
8. You will see:
9. Setup warning!
10. Please disconnect the AC adapter
11. Hit enter to continue
12. When the AC adapter is still plugged in, this message will not go away
13. Now disconnect the AC adapter
14. After you have disconnected the AC adapter, hit enter again
15. you will see:
16. Setup warning!
17. System will be powered down if you select Yes
18. Do you want to proceed?
19. Yes
20. Hit Enter
21. The system will shut down and be safe for servicing.
22. Loosen the single captive screw.
23. Rotate the cover and slide it out.
24. Free the tab.
25. Pull the drive out of the slot.
