For access, remove these FRUs in order:

• Battery pack FRU
• ExpressCard blank bezel FRU
• Bottom slot cover
• Optical drive or travel cover
• Hard disk drive assembly
• PCI Express Mini Card for wireless LAN
• PCI Express Mini Card for wireless WAN
• mSATA solid state drive
• Backup battery
• Keyboard
• Top case assembly
• Bluetooth daughter card
• Express sub card
• Speaker assembly
• System board assembly and fan assembly

Attention: CPU is extremely sensitive. When you service the CPU, avoid any kind of rough handling.

Rotate the head of the screw in the direction shown by arrow [1] to release the lock, then remove the CPU [2].

Please perform the following step as shown in the picture below.

When installing: Place the CPU above the CPU socket, and then rotate the head of the screw in the direction shown by arrow [3] to secure CPU.
