Installing Windows Me Notes: - We recommend that you install Windows Me on a blank hard-disk partition.

You may also need to reformat it. Make sure you do not delete the partition used by the Product Recovery Program.
- Insert the Startup Disk, and turn on the computer.
- Insert the Windows Me CD in the CD or DVD drive of your computer.
- Make a temporary directory. Type the following: MD c:\winMe where winMe is whatever name you want to assign to the temporary directory.
- Copy all the cabinet (.CAB) files and installation programs from the Windows Me CD to the temporary directory. At the DOS prompt, type the following: COPY scr_cd:\win9x\*.* c:\winMe where scr_cd is the letter of the CD or DVD drive of your computer, and c:\winMe is the temporary directory that you made in the previous step.
- Run SETUP.EXE.
