This package installs an updated version of the device driver for the ScrollPoint III, ScrollPoint optical, or optical wheel mouse that comes with your computer.
This package requires approximately 49MB of space on your hard drive.
This package is intended for systems that come with a ScrollPoint III, ScrollPoint Pro (31P8700), or Lenovo Optical Mouse (06P4069), mouse.
Additional information
Note: Before installing the updated driver, previous version of the driver must be uninstalled first.
Downloading the package
Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file.
Extracting the package
Click Start, select Search, then click All files and folders.
Type q1mie17us17.exe in the search field, then click Search. This will locate the file you just downloaded.
Double-click the q1mie17us17.exe icon.
Click Next. Read the license agreement.
Click I accept the agreement.
Click Next.
Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to C:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS\MOUSE\q1mie17us17.
Click Next. The necessary files will be extracted to your hard drive.
Click Finish.
Installing the package
Click Start, then click Run.
Type C:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS\MOUSE\q1mie17us17\Setup.exe, then click OK. The setup program will run.
Follow all onscreen prompts and reboot your system when done.
